Maybe it's a cultural thing

It seems the south efricaans have launched a new Cornetto campaign. I don't claim to be the most sensitive guy when it comes to international cultures but there's some whacky stuff going on here, the most glaring of which is the brand's unashamed use of the word "arse"! And... shouldn't that arse be followed by a question mark? It is a question after all.

I'm in T-Shirt Heaven!

I was googling chop chop this morning - like you do. And, I came across this T-shirt site called none other than the 'Chop Shop'. Well strike me down and give me a paper cut if this isn't a sign from the choppy gods. I've just purchased a week's supply of this brilliant Shop Chop design.

Sound out the words - Shhhh...Hop Chop. Sublime!

Check out this illustrator's site as well for art's sake. I've got it on good authority the chop shop dudes designed it - Jolly Good!

Part of being the new face of Cornetto means I get a never ending supply of delicious ice cream - smarter than your average executioner hey boo boo! Here's one I prepared earlier - when I looked under the lid it looked like a little man so I created this work of art. What's under your lid? Take a photo and show me.

When I linked up the Cornetto ad on my YouTube page, this little pearler came up in the related links. Apart from the risqué placement of the phallicious cone, the remarkable thing about this ad is I can't tell if it's in Spain, or the Caribbean mon... maybe Cuba huh?

Terry Does Big Day Out

Well, HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY! Cornetto took me to the Big Day out in Sydney yesterday. What a phenomenon - I've certainly never experienced anything quite like that in Ye Olde Cuttaburra.

My diet and training regime has produced some solid results since the team at Cone HQ hired a personal trainer (Nathan) to help me get in shape for the TV Ad. He's had me off the Lamb Chops and on the steamed skinless chicken breast and combined with a ruthless cardio & strength routine everyday he's got me looking...cut. Hence, I seemed to attract a fair bit of attention, which i'm not quite used too, but I admit I rather enjoyed. I will remain level headed of course but upon reviewing the photos, I won't be using as much fake tan in the future. :)

Two cones alike?
Common misconception trite.
Until on closer retrospect,
once delved into innards inspect.
Inspection reveals what cow
and squirrel perceive as true.

I just want to say a BIG thank you to my next door neighbour Garry Barofsuds for all his support - without his internet skills, superb camera work and editing no one would even know I exist and I would still be but a mere masked faceless, nameless entity floating in a sea of animosity. I'd also like to thank the people of Cuttaburra and surrounding district for their ongoing support in my chopping exploits. And, mum - thanks Beryl x!

Lastly I'd like to thank the good people at Cornetto, for not only delivering a Cone with goodness from top to bottom (they made me say that), with Real Dairy and More Nuts (they made me say that too) - but for giving me the chance to take my quest for what's inside to a new level.

The mobile phone... not really one my better chops, but it was what the people wanted and you've gotta give em what they ask for - right. I still think I'll do the coconut for my own personal pleasure... a hard shell, tough to crack, with liquid inside - that's got to make for a splendid chop in my books.

Nice Slow Mo

Hey I'm back! The Chop Shop has been down since January 2 when, I was told, the robots at Blogger mistook my Blog for a spam blog. Damn fuzzy logic - anyhoo, I'm back.

Garry sent me this music video - pretty neat slow mo. Wait till halfway through for the kicker.

Water Balloon

Here's a fresh cut Garry & I put together just before Christmas. We used a red balloon to get in the festive spirit and had all the best intentions to chop a Christmas Tree bauble next. But alas we were battling the elements and there was a barrage of short sharp showers on the day - you can still see the pool of water on the chopping block which makes for a spectacular chop! Unfortunately just after this chop the heavens truly opened up and we were sent packing.

Updates

It's been a busy time with the festive season and my trip to New Zealand to film the television commercial due to come out at the end of the month. I still can't reveal who the TV spot is for but I have got some behind the scenes snaps up on my flickr page. Here's a couple of stand outs:
